8.12.11

Well... I'm in a fairly crappy mood today.  My eye infection is back in full force and has taken over my left eye... again....  It was gone for a good 6-8 months... and now it's back...

...and now the awesome video I wanted to post won't load properly... here's my back up video for tonight-

I outlined a sleeve today at the studio.  I just never feel like posting pictures of an outlined sleeve, there's just not much to see, and I used a bunch or thin grey lines which are hard to see in the pictures... so no photos of tattoos tonight.

Instead, the best opening to one of the best movies ever made.

This interview is amazing.  Scott Sylvia interviewing Tim Hendricks.  Not sure what else to say, I've watched it 2-3 times already and will probably watch it again tomorrow.   Tim Hendricks.... pretty awesome guy.

Teagan and I leave for Vancouver tomorrow morning for a couple of days.  Saturday night we'll get to see The Cave Singers and Fleet Foxes at the Vogue.  Pretty damn excited.  I think I may have posted this already but whatever, it's good enough to be posted twice.

Since I have nothing of any importance to post tonight, might as well post something ridiculous.   Thanks Taryn.

Today I outlined a fairly large piece on an arm/back and it went really well. It was Kalika's first tattoo and she sat like a champ. Unfortunately I forgot my camera at the studio so I don't have pictures...
This has been floating around tattoo blogs the last few days. I'm going to repost it because it's pretty awesome.

I was really surprised how well done the Sailor Jerry documentary was the first time I saw it. This looks like it has potential to be great as well, I'm really excited to see the whole movie. I have a huge amount of respect for Ed and everything he's given and done to advance tattooing to what it has become today.

This is amazing, from Amalie's blog

I can't remember where I first saw this, but "Sum: Forty Tales from the Afterlives" by David Eagleman is a great book.

This is and always will be my favorite song, ever.
