My friend Olga sat like an absolute rock while I outlined 2/3rd's of her back yesterday.  Lots of long, straight lines in a not so fun spot to get tattooed...  She's a champ and I'm beyond excited knowing we'll get this done asap.

Starting to sift though my camera so that we can update the website and get a new portfolio printed.  I found this 1/2 healed, 1/2 fresh photo of Zoey's thigh from last month, reminding me that I need to get fully healed pictures of it for said portfolio.

I'm trying to paint a few hours every day so that by the time we're ready to open, all the flash in the front of the shop is hand painted.  Worked on this sheet for an hour today when i figured out my first apt was a no show.

I was going to write a short novel about why we've chosen to move to Nelson, BC, but after uploading the pictures from our trip a few weeks ago, I feel they speak for themselves.

The plan is to have a small studio, The Timber Tattoo Company, open by early June.  We're working hard behind the scenes every day now to get things up and going.  Lots of fun new things in the works, and more info as it becomes available.  Huge thanks for all the support and positive comments from clients, family and friends!

Finished Kelly's raven today for my morning appointment

And then started colouring in Matts rib/thigh panel this afternoon.  Made it easy on both him and I by starting on a huge red rose on his thigh.  Great end to the work week!

Time to get back into using this blog a bit more....  A few years ago I used it as a tool to motivate myself to produce more, and that worked really well.  Forcing myself to have an update everyday made sure that something was getting done everyday.  Right now... there's a lot that needs to get done, so this will be a great tool to keep on track.  We're also about to under go a big life change and try something that neither Teagan or I have done in the past.  I like the idea of having the blog to document the process, both to share and look back on.  Out of all the social media "tools" available, I've always liked this blog format the best.

Enough rambling for tonight.  Worked on Theresa's arm today.  Really fun, I feel like it's been a while since I've tattooed a pink rose.
