10.23.12

It's been a while, but what a month!  So busy, so much fun.  We had house guests, got tattooed, drove down to a family birthday, then up to the mountains for a vacation with new fiends, came home, worked, had house guests, worked, had guest artists and more house guests at the shop....  it's no wonder we're both exhausted.

During that madness, I unfortunately forgot to set up an auto reply for emails, letting people know that I'd be extremely busy this month and away from emails for the most part.  I know I have a lot of typing in my near future as I play catch up, so as you patiently wait for a reply here are a few photos from my favorite month of the year, OCTOBER!  As always, your patience is extremely appreciated, and these tattoos are in no particular order.

7.27.12

So that's August I guess... seemed to go by rather quickly, but then again, it's been a busy month.  I'm always behind on emails now... sorry.  I just can't seem to keep up.  On a positive note, I found an old memory card that I thought I had lost, however there are probably 500 photos on it to go through and edit.  These aren't any of those photos.  These are off of my phone from the last few weeks.

More tattoos from a few weeks ago.  Finished Robyn's tattoo... unfortunately I got lazy at the end of the session and didn't make her stand on a chair or get right down on the floor, so bad angel for the photo.

Mostly healed tattoo on my friend Chris' inner arm.  He came in for a quick consult the other day so I snapped a quick photo.   He'll be back in a few weeks and I'll get portfolio quality healed photos.

7.5.12

Keeping with the theme of catching up on old photos....

June 17th Deadly Tattoos in Calgary had their "Getn' Tanked" show and I was lucky enough to be invited to participate.  I'll be completely honest, I don't own a motorbike, I've never even sat on a motorbike... So I was fairly surprised how big the tank was when I went to pick up from the salvage yard.   Needless to say,  I've never painted a gas tank before, but that's the fun part about participating in Deadly art shows...  Usually puts me out of my comfort zone.

I was both shocked and honored that Rich Handford of Kapala Tattoo in Winnipeg bought my tank before the show even started.  Rich is an amazing artist, so it makes me really happy that he ended up with my tank.
